Google Holiday 2023

We built the branding for Google's B2B Holiday 2023 campaign around the concept of 'Holiday performance, multiplied by Google AI'.


 

During the holidays, retailers have traditionally stuck to a limited marketing strategy that focuses on traditional ‘peak days’ - eg: Black Friday, Cyber Monday. But other days can provide just as much opportunity to create record sales moments - if you have the right tools to do so. Google’s suite of AI-based ad tools enables retailers to be flexible, fast, reactive, and opportunistic – and generate more days of peak sales. In short, it enables them to multiply their peak days.

Along with Arjan Das Matteo, Senior Designer at House of Greenland, we developed two visual concepts which eventually blended into a bolder approach to Google's branding and extended Google's vibrant colour palette. We also designed custom UI to complement Google's existing iconography, and developed custom product images, using Midjourney.

Another key feature of our design system was bringing performance AI to life through animation. We wanted our UI to engage, bring an element of (holiday) surprise and supplement photography with data-driven UI and language.
